One Joke = Bye bye aliens

Remember that time I bombed on stage at The Comedy Store?
I've been scared to look at the tape (or whatever tapes are called these days, kiddos), very frightened to see my own face as it digests the fact that nobody's laughing.

I opened the file today (because it's actually a file and not actually a tape).
I have only been able to watch the first joke.
And it's not so bad. I fear the others, but the first one is not so bad.
And some people are laughing! One person even clapped in agreement.
Plus, the lighting is so good that you can't see my adult acne.
Score.
Here it is. One joke. Like my granny always said, a joke a day keeps the aliens at bay.

First comment! Unfortunately, this is now only one less comment than my blog received. I depressed myself.

Good thing this joke got me in a better mood. Eric Clapton oral sex jokes are my favorite. You're funny.

I bet even EClap would find that joke funny. It's *that* good.

Well, the video finally played for me and you were funny AND you are very beautiful! Hot nerd indeed... I think you would be a better 'Penny' than Kelly Cucco would... and I am not 'cuckoo' for saying that!! (get it, get it?)

Ah! You've inspired me to post some of my stand up on my blog. You WERE funny! I did another show last night in anticipation of my move to LA in a few weeks.

Also, I totally relate, my boyfriend played guitar for me on our 3rd date and I stared at his feet and smirked. It wasn't until we dated for six months that I was able to look him in the eye while he played.

You know, of course, that your dad played the piano for me on our 2nd date. I didn't have to actually look him in the eye, but having him sing an aria from "La Boheme" (Mimi's part, no less) was still akward.

I would like to exchange links with your site www.humansarefunny.com
Is this possible?

Nice work! When do we get to see the rest?!

Had I been there, I would have applauded in agreement too.

I *hate* solo guitar playing. Especially when guys have that intense look on their face and they're just staring and staring at you and it's really hard to work out if that's just their 'concentrating' face or they're just really feeling those same three chords over and over again.
